Have you sought fertility treatment before? Why did you choose Dr. NeeOo W. Chin as your fertility expert?

Dr. Chin was recommended to me after unsuccessfully trying to get pregnant for a year. My doctor just put me on metformin and eventually Clomid with no success. Once meeting Dr. Chin I knew we were in the right place. 

What were your expectations going into it?

I had no expectations going into it. No answers for what was going on or why we were unable to conceive. There was no explanation or diagnosis to what was going on with my body. From the first meeting, Dr. Chin stated exactly what was wrong and the steps we need to take to conceive. PCOS has never been brought up before meeting Dr. Chin. 

Can you summarize what treatments you received and your experience with Dr. Chin and the team?

We started out with ultrasounds and letrazole. When that did not work after a few months we tried IUI. 5 months in we knew something else wasn't right. We decided to do exploratory surgery and found one of my tubes was pulled so tight from scar tissue from an appendectomy and my best follicles were on that side. 3 months more of IUIs and letrazole and we were moving to IVF meds to get more chances. I got the IVF meds in the mail 2 weeks before I found out I was pregnant on Mother's Day. Dr. Chin never gives up. He works with you not only on the medical treatments but also on your mental health, and lifestyle changes. The biggest tip I have is listen to what he says. Lifestyle changes are hard but could help and did help me tremendously when I followed his advice fully that last cycle with no cheat days. We are ever so thankful for our life! 

Were you able to conceive?

Yes! 

Did you opt for additional treatments like acupuncture or hormonal treatment? 

We did acupuncture during the IUI. It was a very grounding and calming experience each time during this stressful time in my life.
