Artificial Insemination is a technique commonly used to treat certain types of infertility for both men and women. For this procedure, the sperm specimen is "washed" in a laboratory and placed into the women's cervix, Fallopian tubes, or uterus. The most common form of artificial insemination is called Intrauterine Insemination or I.U.I. which is when the sperm is places directly into the uterus which will allow for it to bypass any possible obstructions making the trip shorter for them.
